Major Woodworking Equipment first started business in 1980 mainly specialising in tooling for woodworking machinery with John Powney as its manager.

Our interest and knowledge in the woodworking industry soon encouraged the company to expand the product range eventually representing some of the worlds largest manufacturers of woodworking equipment and as you go through our site such names as FREUD, CMT, LACH, JET, and SICAR will be prominent.

Because of our genuine interest we always treat customers in away that we would like to be treated when making a purchase. Our references both from our customers and overseas principals is of a high degree and one which the management is proud of.

All our sales staff are tradesman some also overseas experience keeping up with latest trends and technical issues.

Our showroom is always set out so as customers can inspect products in a comfortable atmosphere with demonstrations arranged upon request.

We attend exhibitions at Awisa and the Sydney Woodworking Shows.
